...For A Beautiful Clear Complexion
Intense Pulse Light Therapy (IPL) use a powerful white light source for very short pulses, (milli-seconds), to correct a variety of skin conditions such as:
· Uneven & unwanted pigmentation
· Rosacea
· Broken capillaries
· Skin blemishes
· Sun damaged skin
These structures are coloured and with treatment with the IPL they will be thermally injured and die. The skin which is not pigmented is rejuvenated as the IPL stimulates new collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin to give you that smooth, youthful look.
IPL is a safe, non-invasive photo rejuvenation treatment that requires with little to no downtime.
Warning
There are so many IPL machines and clinics using them.
You should ask what type of machine they use and can it be calibrated to prevent unwanted side effects.
We use the Quantum IPL. This machine is fully callibrated and this ensures that you always receive the correct dose for your skin.
Also the best results occur in the hands of very experienced technicians. Always ask how many IPL treatments the clinician has performed and what training she has had.
Our staff are all radiation safety officer qualified and have years of experience using both laser and IPL.
What Conditions Does IPL Treat?
IPL Technology is a treatment breakthrough that can correct a variety of benign skin conditions, such as:
What Areas Can You Treat With IPL?
Treatments are performed on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands.
Typically most people are looking to treat broken capillaries and spider veins on the face and pigmentation and/or sun damage.
However some "spot" treatments can also be performed on unwanted freckles and pigmentation on other parts of the body.
How Is Photorejuvenation Performed?
The smooth cooled glass surface of the IPL hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied.
Treatment is generally administered in a series of 4-6 sessions that provide excellent long-term results, minimum adverse effects and high satisfaction.
Each treatment takes about 45 minutes.
What If You Are Not Sure What Your Skin Needs?
Our highly professional staff will conduct a free skin-analysis for you using our state-of-the-art Visia Skin Analysis machine.
This will provide you with photographs of your skin highlighting how the IPL and our other skin treatments can help your particular skin condition.
Are Multiple Treatments Necessary?
Depending on the number of conditions you are treating, and the severity of the individual problem, a series of 4-5 sessions are typically recommended.
What Will Your Skin Look Like After Treatment?
Immediately after treatment, the skin can look slightly red, and pigmentation marks may have become more obvious.
Slight swelling may occur under the eye area.
When treating capillaries a blue-purplish bruise may appear on the treated area. This may last approximately 7-10 days.
Most patients return to work and can have a treatment in a "lunch hour". Make-up can be immediately applied to the treated area.
Within 7-10 days the pigmentation will peel and bruising will fade leaving a fresh new complexion.
Acne patients report a clearer and fresher complexion.
